The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is an electronic pre-arrival information system implemented by the relevant Thai authorities to facilitate immigration procedures for foreign nationals entering the Kingdom of Thailand. The TDAC is intended to replace the former paper-based arrival form (TM.6) and to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and security in immigration processing.
Completion of the TDAC is a mandatory administrative requirement for eligible foreign travelers prior to their arrival in Thailand.
Legal Nature of TDAC
The TDAC does not constitute a visa, does not grant permission to enter or remain in Thailand, and does not confer any legal status upon the traveler. Final entry into the Kingdom remains strictly subject to the discretion of the Immigration Officer in accordance with applicable Thai immigration laws and regulations.
Applicability
The TDAC generally applies to:
- Foreign nationals entering Thailand by air;
- Travelers holding any category of visa, including but not limited to Tourist, Non-Immigrant, or Long Stay visas; and
- Travelers entering Thailand under visa exemption schemes.
Applicability and requirements may be amended from time to time pursuant to policies of the Thai Immigration Bureau.
Timing of Submission
Travelers are required to complete the TDAC prior to arrival in Thailand. It is recommended that submission be made no later than 1–3 days before the scheduled date of entry. Upon successful submission, a digital confirmation will be issued and should be retained for presentation to immigration authorities upon request.
Required Information
Applicants must provide accurate and complete information, including:
- Passport details;
- Arrival flight information;
- Address or accommodation in Thailand; and
- Visa information, where applicable.
Any discrepancy between the submitted information and official travel documents may result in additional scrutiny, delay, or denial of entry.
Purpose and Benefits
The TDAC is intended to:
- Reduce reliance on paper-based documentation;
- Expedite immigration clearance procedures;
- Improve accuracy of traveler information; and
- Support effective immigration control and public administration.
Disclaimer
Submission of the TDAC does not guarantee entry into Thailand. All entries are subject to compliance with Thai immigration laws and the final determination of the Immigration Officer at the port of entry.
